About Us
Ernest and Monica Ezeilo Education Foundation (EMEEF) is a non-profit and non- governmental organisation established in 2016, with a base in Anambra State, Nigeria. It was founded by Rev. Fr. Louis Nwabueze Ezeilo (PhD Economics), a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia in Nigeria. It is a charity organisation registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) (CAC/IT/NO138337) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The foundation is named in honour of the founder’s parents, Late Mr Ernest Osuokwu Ezejiburu Ezeilo and Ezinne Monica Nwokuabia Ezeilo (nee Ogbuagu). The foundation aims at providing educational funding, scholarships, materials, practical capacity building, guidance and counselling to the young ones especially the indigents.
This foundation is managed by a board of trustees headed by the founder with other stake holders drawn from vast schools of life. They are: Rev Fr Dr Eugene Nonso Egbosionu, Rev Fr Francis Nonso Okoye, Mr Fabian Sunday Ezeilo, Mrs Apolonia Ngozi Ibeanu, Rev. Fr. Alphonsus Obiekezie and Mr Mathew Toochukwu Udeozor (Secretary).
Currently, the organisation (EMEEF) has a total of 25 pupils and 51 students under its programme in both Primary, Secondary and University levels. There are also 10 candidates supported by EMEEF who are undergoing various apprenticeships and vocational training.
In order to achieve our objectives, the foundation partners with well-meaning individuals, religious bodies, corporate bodies, organised groups and other stake holders in the human capacity development sectors. Our partners are not limited to Nigeria but also have a global capacity.
Our programs are financed through free will donations from our partners and other global bodies’ grants and projects. Hard work, transparency and accountability are our watch words. ‘You too can be part of the efforts.
Our MissioN
The essence of education is to acquire knowledge and knowledge ensures capacity for greater achievement. Our mission is to equip the poor in our rural environment with the capacity to rise above the various conditions for better standard of living.
Our Vision
We envisage a literate Nigerian society where education is the basic footing for the fight against poverty
Our Objectives
- To provide basic education for poor children.
- To tackle the menace of poverty through education.
- To give the poor equal educational opportunity with the wealthy.
- To initiate the foundation for early healthy mental development of the very young ones.
- To provide guidance and counselling to young people in career choice and development.
- To facilitate practical capacity building for the youths.
